OMG. Just when I think I can’t love Grey’s Anatomy anymore than I already do, I watch the latest episode.
Long story short: Meredith make some questionable choices and her medical license is on the line. Right as it look like the hearing is going to be postponed Alex busts through the door and says “you can’t postpone. People have come from all over to stand up for Dr. Grey.”
This scene caused tears. So. Many. Tears. Forgiveness, belief in the human spirit, redemption, the notion we are not the sum of one choice…that one scene, that one line, so much power.
You can’t postpone. Sometimes we postpone things. Maybe it’s a hard choice, a big decision, a difficult conversation.
But you can’t postpone. Make the choice. Decide. Say it. Because once you make the choice to no longer postpone you may find all those things Meredith found. Forgiveness, belief in the human spirit, redemption, and the realization we are not the sum of one choice.
No, you can’t postpone.
See you on the other side of the ocean.
