Aloha! Yes, I’m writing this post while basking in the island sun.
I’m going to go ahead and say it. At times I absolutely lead a charmed life . But that doesn’t mean that it’s not difficult sometimes.
This week I’ll be putting the final touches on a new group coaching program on forgiveness and letting go. A few weeks back I read this…
“Forgiveness means giving up all hope for a better past.” – Lily Tomlin
Oh.
I have one persistent past memory that I can’t seem to let go of. When I feel like self sabotaging…yeah…I think of that memory. It hurts. Like I want to *scream and shout* hurt. It’s the “I want to send irrational texts” type of hurt.
Over and over. For some reason I refuse to let go.
(Please note the language. I refuse to let go.)
As I play in the sand and drink fruity mocktails this weekend I’m going to go through my own program. I’m going to reflect on who I would be without the self sabotage, and then do my best to let it go…with the rhythm of the ocean.
So, what do you need to let go of? Who do you need to forgive?
As you think you might be like me and have one persistent memory pop up.
As it does I challenge you to sit with it. And then, allow yourself to imagine what it would feel like if you didn’t have to carry that memory around anymore.
How would it feel to forgive? How would it feel to #ChooseYou?
